Land and Sea Dept., in conjunction with Alderman Rey Colón, Goose Island and I Am Logan Square, is pleased to announce a special awareness and fundraising event for The South Logan Arts Coalition, taking place on Saturday, March 23rd at Parson’s Chicken & Fish.

Cut Me Some SLAC: A Fundraiser for the South Logan Arts Coalition is an opportunity to bring awareness to and raise funds for the newly launched Chicago-based non profit. The organization is made up of Logan Square residents who support and value the arts. SLAC pairs local artists with vacant storefronts in and around the Logan Square neighborhood, which serves to both improve local aesthetics and highlight the work of area artists.

SLAC artists Stephanie Del Carpio, Natalie Krick, Melody Saraniti, Nick Ostoff, and Matthew Woodward will exhibit works at the event, and there will be a raffle featuring offerings from Weegee’s, Katherine Anne Confections and Table, Donkey and Stick, among others. The event will feature complimentary beer, generously provided by The Goose Island Beer Company.

Tickets are $15. Purchase in advance or at the door.
