Bert Green Fine Art is pleased to present Jen Heaslip’s fourth solo show, and the first ever solo exhibition at our new Chicago gallery space.
Heaslip is a painter of the nude male form; her figures are alluring: mysterious, shadowy, grounded and earthy. Via a dark, almost monocolor palette, these men posit their existence as impassioned participants in the circle of life. The artist has provided no written statement explaining the work — it is meant to be experienced entirely as a visual experience with no mediation, no explanation, no guides. Accompanying the figurative works are a series of very small-scale skyscapes.
There will be an opening reception on Thursday, March 15 from 5-7 pm at the gallery. Gallery hours are Wednesday-Friday 11-6 and Saturday 12-5, or by appointment at other times.
All gallery events are free and open to the public. Additional exhibition information, press releases and high resolution images may be found at the gallery website at www.bgfa.us.
