Mar 25th 2012

Art-Zine/Chicago is a folio style zine, published quarterly, dedicated to showcasing the art of cutting-edge, fringe artists. Their newly created work is based on a central theme, resulting in a diverse collection of interpretations.

On Sunday, March 25th, there will be an Art Extravaganza/Sunday Soiree/Launch Party at the Peanut Gallery, 1000 N. California Ave. in Chicago, from 5-9 pm. On exhibit will be the work of local artists Jeremy Haas, Chris Hodge, Brandon Howe, Sofia Moreno, Erik Peterson and Kelly Reaves, whose contributions are included in the inaugural edition of the zine. Art-Zine/Chicago made its official debut at the recent Chicago Zine Fest. Also featured at the event will be a special guest appearance by the inimitable performance artist Heather Marie Vernon, performing ‘My Patented Silkeena, Feels Exactly Like Spun Silk’.

Arrive early and stay late! Fashionable Spring attire is encouraged.

A-Z/C is curated and produced by Daniel Teafoe.
